Communications Transmission Engineer

Key Role:
Provide technical delivery of IT operations to a major headquarters in the Army Market and technical direction and engineering knowledge for communications activities, including planning, designing, installing, and maintaining large communications networks. Provide engineering and technical support to the video teleconference and audio/visual technologies within the command and recommend improvements and modifications to increase the capacity of the system. Support the enterprise-level IT service level agreements and procedures development and establishment of governance bodies and processes. Work with the leadership team to identify, analyze, and implement client requirements to meet IT objectives and provide project and operational status to stakeholders on a daily basis. Leverage problem-solving expertise and knowledge of the client's businesses, identify issues and concerns, and propose advice, as needed. Respond to short notice requests and suspense dates and recommend and facilitate quality improvement efforts. This position is located in Fort Knox, KY.
Basic
Qualifications:
-5 years of experience with operating and managing voice, wireless, video, and data communications systems
-Experience with leading, planning, and managing complex VTC and audio/visual development projects with daily client interaction
-Experience with building and maintaining client relationships in a team-based government or management consulting environment
-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
-Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
